Lemony Snicket * There's not much known information about Lemony Snicket, the author of ASoUE, because he is very mysterious. A few known facts are that he is older than you. He was born on a DAIRY farm, and NOT a cattle farm. He is a member of V.F.D., he loved a woman named Beatrice, who is now dead, and he has a brother named Jaques. Brett Helquist * Here's my short summary of known information about the illustrator of ASoUE, taken from the official Lemony Snicket website. Brett Helquist says that he was born in Ganado, Arizona, grew up in Orem, Utah, and now lives in New York City. He purportedly earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Brigham Young University and has been illustrating ever since. His art has appeared in many publications, including Cricket magazine and The New York Times.
